Jeff has been training dogs for competitions for over 20 years. This year alone, his dog’s have earned High in Trials in Herding, First Place finishes in Flying Disc competitions, and several Division 1 First Place finishes in flyball. Last year, Jeff’s Border Collie, Sweep, finished 5th in the National Finals of the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge High Jump Competition with a best jump of 52 inches. Jeff’s Gateway Flyball Club, which he founded in 1995, has grown to be the largest flyball club in North America. And this year, for the first time, Gateway will be crowned NAFA’s Region 4 Champions. Additionally, with a team best time of 16.76, they are in hot pursuit of the Region 4 record (16.69). But the Gateway Flyball Club isn’t just about speed. They can run up to 7 separate regular teams and 3 multi-breed teams on the same day. Their individual teams range anywhere from highly competitive Division 1 teams, to teams that run for title points, to teams that run just for the fun of it. And fun is what Jeff stresses most in his training. Of course, he also preaches proper training methods and conditioning, so dogs can have long and healthy flyball careers. Jeff is currently a member of the North American Flyball Association Board of Directors. He and his wife, Bettie, raise Border Collies and Parson Russell Terriers on their farm, forty miles Southwest of St. Louis, Missouri. |

Joy is a self-taught and has been doing animal communicating since 1988. When she does readings, she gets pictures, words, feelings and thoughts as well as any physical pain the pet may be feeling. She practices her craft while working with her classmate and ex-husband in the veterinary hospitals that they owned. They tested her skills under very stressful conditions and she would get immediate results on her perceptions, which was a blessing. Until June of last year, she kept her talents hidden to most of those who know her. Last year she started going to dog shows and doing readings there, most of her clients are performance dogs, horses and she started to read show cats as well. Her goal in doing her job is to increase the level of communication between the owner and their pet so they perform at the top of their game. She wants the performance animal to have fun , be happy and healthy in what they do. If something is "off" with them physically, she can find it and use her veterinary training to help the owner come up with a solution that will, hopefully, handle the problem |
